Nearly half of the companies surveyed in Canada report no improvement in poor B2B customer payment behavior over the past year, particularly in the energy and fuel sectors. In contrast, about 25% of businesses have observed a further decline in payment practices.

On average, overdue invoices are converted into cash one month after their due date, with the agri-food and consumer durables sectors facing the longest delays. The primary causes of these delays are supply chain disruptions and inefficient payment processes.
