Suppliers are turning to discounts on invoices to encourage payment from their suppliers as cash flow tightens. According to a survey conducted by SAP Taulia, taking this approach was acceptable to two-thirds of respondents. With only 37% of invoices paid on time in 2025 speeding up payment is top of mind for suppliers and with good reason as SAP’s research shows that 2026 will mark a further decline in on time payments.
