Chair of the International Trade Committee Bernd Lange (S&D, DE) said: “I welcome this political agreement between two important economies. It sends a clear signal to protectionists around the world and for those, in favour of rules-based trade. Mexico is our strategic partner both in Latin America and in the WTO. It shows that the EU and Mexico will continue walking together in the same direction.
